The Purge is an annual event that occurs every year until 7:00 AM, 12 hour after the purge announcement and siren. Right before the Purge, an announcement comes on throughout a specific area/country. When it starts, at 7:00 PM, the siren goes off, which means the participants are free to start committing crimes. During the 12 hours of the Purge, all crime, including murder, is legalized. During that time, any police, fire, and medical services are unavailable. Weapons of class 4 or lower (such as grenades or combat MG), are allowed in the purge while others are restricted. Government officials of ranking 10, or higher, are granted immunity during the Purge. In 7:00 AM, 12 hours after the siren goes off, another announcement comes on, concluding the Purge and ordering participants to stop committing any more crimes and return back to normal lives, followed by the siren that signals the end of the Purge.
